3.10 Functioning. The escapement as a component of the higher assembly, the M550
Fuze (Dwg. 8886360) and/or the M918 TP Projectile assembly (Dwg. 9399374), shall meet all
functioning requirements for that assembly.
3.11 Non-functioning. The escapement as a component of the higher assembly, the
M550 Fuze (Dwg. 8886360) and/or the M918 TP Projectile assembly (Dwg. 9399374), shall
meet all non-functioning requirements for that assembly.
3.12 Ammunition lot numbering. Ammunition lot numbers shall be assigned in
accordance with MIL-STD-1168.
3.13 Workmanship. All parts and assemblies shall be fabricated and finished in a
thorough and workmanlike manner. They shall be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks,
unblended radii, surface defects, dirt, grease, rust, corrosion products and other foreign matter.
The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any parts, nor shall the parts be contaminated
by the cleaning agents. All marking and stamping shall be neat and sharply defined.
